I was pretty sore today, but I still made it to the job fair at my college and got a few good leads. Had two recruiters practically take my resumes from my hand before I offered them once they heard what I was working towards a masters in Art Therapy. The fact that I was willing to do part-time or short term work while working on it was no big

1) Had a wonderful time meeting with the volunteer coordinator of a hospice. These people sound so great to work with. I now have some paperwork to fill out and my volunteer training starts next month

The meeting went great. The volunteer coordinator couldn't make it, so I actually got to talk with the bereavement specialist and she's positive that I will get snap up for full time work before I know it. She also really wants to work with me. It was great and I did a great job talking about myself and my knowledge

Just got a call from one of my resumes. The person was going to go home, but she was so impressed by my cover letter and reference page, that she went ahead and called me, even though she doesn't have a position for me yet

You don't make an appointment. You just show up with photo ID, fill out lots of forms and then take the tests for each job family you wish to be considered for.
I could go for a few others, but I think I should try focusing on jobs I actually want for at least a few months before I go into the "any straw"

Figured out the root of my current physical flare-up -- I caught an intestinal virus. Just got my favorite flu medication (as opposed to my favorite bronchitis one) and I'm already starting to feel a little better

Going to go research a few other leads in a moment. I did print out extra copies of my resume, but not the cover letter. I'm hoping that I might be able to coax my printer into giving me a practically clean copy once in a while
